… the main floor exterior walls are rammed earth. The 2nd floor walls are traditional wood framing, with a few neat features:

all the timbers will be cut from naturally-falen trees.
the siding will be Paperstone; a recycled wood product that is made by compressing recycled paper (with cashew nut shell oil as a binder)

Here the boys are putting down removable plywood that holds up the concrete slab until it cures.
The metal floor trusses will remain as part of the house.

The vertical pieces of steel will be bent over to tie into the slab above the garage.
